This is the plane I built out of foam board, hot glue, and tape. It is controlled with four servos and a brushless motor in the nose. I built this before the drone because was an easier and cheaper way of getting into the hobby.
In the video below, I am checking the control surfaces (the flaps) on the plane, making sure each stick on my controller matches the output to the correct flap.
I built take-off and landing skis which make take-offs and landings much easier and more fun.
I added an FPV camera to the tail of the plane so I could fly it from the plane's perspective!
