Project #1: Design for deflection

In this project we were tasked with using FEA to design a part in SolidWorks such that the structure deforms linearly elastically, achieving a $.5in$ deflection when a maximum of $200lbf$ is applied. The two larger bottom holes are support points and the load is applied at the center top larger whole. We also used Castigliano's theorem to calculate the deflection of a C-shaped beam.
